Istana Budaya or The National Theatre is the leading establishment for the performing arts in Malaysia with an outstanding array of talents, including the National Symphony Orchestra, National Choir, National Youth Choir, as well as a host of musicians and artists. PETRONAS PHILHARMONIC HALL

Ground Floor, Tower 2, Petronas Twin Towers,

The Petronas Philharmonic Hall is home to the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra or MPO. Occasionally, the orchestra performs overseas and has won several accolades for its outstanding performances. Its annual schedule includes chamber music, contemporary music and commissioned works. Watch the orchestra perform at the Petronas Philharmonic Hall, a classical concert hall with state-of-the-art facilities and superb acoustics.

NATIONAL ARTS ACADEMY

The nation?s leading arts academy trains students in various fields relating to the performing arts such as cinematography, dance, music and writing. Performances are staged periodically by students.

LANAI SENI

Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman

The KL City Hall in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage, stages a variety of traditional, cultural and musical performances on Saturday nights at this venue. Performances are held outdoors.

 

Activities begin from 2.00pm. Performances are held from 8.45pm - 10.00pm.

Malaysia?s first privately owned and operated theatre company holds various plays and conducts classes for enthusiasts. Enjoy entertaining and lively performances, from satirical comedies to stimulating presentations at its premises in Bangsar Shopping Centre as well as the KL Performing Arts Centre (KL Pac) in Sentul.

SUTRA DANCE THEATRE

This is a privately owned performing arts centre in Malaysia, mainly focusing on Indian classical dances. Marvel at the elaborate movements of the accomplished Sutra dances at the Sutra Amphitheatre, an exclusive outdoor venue. PANGGUNG BANDARAYA

Situated in the vicinity of KL?s historical landmarks such as Merdeka Square and the Royal Selangor Club, Panggung Bandaraya is gazetted as a heritage building for its beautiful Moorish facade. It is the venue for year-round local and international performances.
