NATIONAL PLANETARIUM

The National Planetarium is the place to go in Kuala Lumpur if you ore interested in astronomy.

 

This blue-domed structure situated atop a hill at Kuala Lumpur's Lake Gardens attracts many visitors with its interactive displays such as the spoce theatre that screens space shows and movies, 

 

Arianne IV space engine - one of the engines used to launch MEASAT 1, Malaysia's first satellite, into space - and an observatory with a 14-inch telescope.

NATIONAL SCIENCE CENTRE

Persiaran Bukit Kiara

 

The Notional Science Centre houses many different exhibits designed to stimulate, excite and encourage visitors to toke an active interest in science and technology. The overall concept of the centre is to link science to environment and religion, as well as to relate science with all aspects of life. The centre is divided into 10 galleries, i.e. the aquarium, environmental odyssey, pathway to science, pathway to discovery, children's education centre, thinking machine, future world, technoMAL, digital lifestyle and inventors' corner.

 

The centre educates visitors about how science affects our daily lives and highlights Malaysia's achievements in science and technology. The Science Discovery Corner within the centre has fun and educational programmes such as Budding Scientist and Budding Engineer specially tailored' for children. There is also a science educational park which is developed to provide handson learning experience in the fields of botanical science, zoology and agriculture science. Animals such as ostrich, ornamental chickens, rabbits, deer, sheep and ducks are also reared at the pork allowing visitors to interact with these animals.

PETROSAINS

Suria KLCC

 

PETROSAINS at Suria KLCC is an interactive Science Discovery Centre that presents the story of science and technology of the petroleum industry in a fun way. The centre has recently added a new experience coiled Space Mini Exhibition, which is pocked with interactive exhibits you won't find anywhere else. Get behind the controls of the Manned Maneuvering Unit and see how well you con jet around in space. A video screen cleverly synchronizes your movements so you con really feel what it's like in zero gravity. Admission to the Space Mini Exhibition is included in the PETROSAINS - The Discovery Centre tickets. PETROSAINS is open every day, except Mondays, from 9.30 am to 5 pm.
