TAMAN EKUESTRIAN PUTRAJAYA

Taman Ekuestrian Putrajaya (TEP) is a new world-class equestrian centre situated at the edge of Taman Puncak Selatan, where the PICC sits. Strategically located in Precinct 5, the equine venue is set within 70-acres of attractive lush greenery, providing a new environment and facilities for public riding, equestrian and polo competitions. The Premier Cup Series has gained recognition as one of the most anticipated equestrian events in Malaysia?s equestrian calendar. The event has found its new home in TEP in 2006, drawing more than 30 participating local and international equine clubs.

 
 
PUTRAJAYA LAKE CLUB

Spend a day with your family and dine by the tranquil Putrajaya Lake amid the spectacular scenery and impressive city skyline. The Club, which is sited cosily in a slide valley with small hills flanking it, can accommodate 250 guests at any one time during functions. Putrajaya Lake Club also offers standard clubhouse facilities such as a wide range of boats, kayaks and canoes with storage racks and ample changing rooms. There is a rowing simulator, which is placed two feet beneath the water, for guests to become adapt to the grueling sport before heading out to the lake. The Club also provides a 50-metre swimming pool, wading pool for children, restaurant and reading room.

 

Putrajaya Lake Club opens its membership to residents above 21 years of age in Putrajaya and those residing within a radius of 100km of the city. Members are entitled to some privileges and these include a 50% discount on boat renting.

PUTRAJAYA WATER SPORT COMPLEX

Part of Putrajaya?s urban planning and development is to provide sufficient recreational facilities for both local community and visitors. Putrajaya Lake - is targeted to be a centre for water sports, both for leisure and competitive purposes. Precinct 6 is the site of a dedicated water sports complex. It is equipped with world-class course canoeing, which meets the requirements and standards of International Canoe Federation. Other water sports such as rowing and sailing are also held at the complex.

 
 
GOLFING

 

Adjacent to Putrajaya, Palm Garden Golf Club is located within a former oil palm plantation which boasts gently rolling hills and secluded valleys. One will get that peaceful feeling of being in a country side once arrived here. The Golf Club, with a traditional kampung style clubhouse, sits majestically on a hill with a generous panorama of the surrounding area. Palm Garden covers a total area of 133 hectares of land. Here, golfing at night is possible too, as the Palm Nine is lit from Tuesday to Friday for a romantic swinging time under the moonlight.
